Shower blessings

After yesterday’s irksome inconveniences – baggage delay, late night dinner hunting, taking a wrong turn and subsequently losing our way admidst unlit and unfamiliar streets and being locked out of our hotel, I had a nightmare. It was disturbimg and the morning came as a relief. Hopefully, the events of the previous night will not be an omen of things to come.

where the streets have Viet names

I don’t understand why they bother to draw zebra crossings in Hanoi. The vehicles don’t give way and neither do the humans, so what we have essentially is an interesting form of controlled chaos without bloodshed, which is quite an achievement given the harrowing experience road crossing can be.
